Who Is Your Prospect?

Do you truly know your prospect?

I’m not talking about their role or demographic. I mean, do you know who they are – at a deep level?

Most of the time we know who our customer is but we rarely write it down. On this week’s episode of The 2X Podcast, I’ll tell you how really knowing your customer will pay off big time and I’ll also give you a framework on how to get clear on your ideal prospect.

Send Bill a voice memo with a question to [email protected] to have him answer it in an upcoming episode.

Interview With Steve Walker

Continuing with our May guest interview series, on this week’s 2X Podcast episode I had the chance to interview good friend of mine, Steve Walker. He’s the President of Walker Information and an icon in ‘customer experience’ research.

Steve shares the importance of your customer’s experience with your company and gives you insight and some tips on how you can begin to improve it.

Steve also has his own podcast you should try out, The CX Leader Podcast, available on iTunes.

What Will You Do When You Encounter Resistance?

On this episode of The 2X Podcast, Bill gives you some simple ways to battle any resistance you encounter in the sales process.

You battle resistance by:

a) knowing what it is

b) strategizing on how to minimize it upfront, and c) creating a process that does that.

Know where your customer is on the journey. If you don’t where they are, they might resist than for no other reason than they don’t know “how to buy.”

Episode #470: From Prospect to Client

Does it really take 8 to 12 contacts to turn a prospect into a customer?

Bill Caskey and Bryan Neale address this very idea in today’s episode. We had an awesome question from a listener in our co-video mailbag segment. She is a wardrobe and fashion expert, and is trying to figure out how to generate more clients.

Bill and Bryan give her some ideas that really anyone who’s in sales and trying to generate more engagement with prospects can use.

We’d love to hear your feedback on their answers by going to the Facebook fan page and sharing your thoughts!

Episode #469: The Importance of Customer Experience

What kind of customer experience do you give your brand new customers?

In this episode of The Advanced Selling Podcast, Bill Caskey and Bryan Neale review the hazards of ignoring the customer experience. We all want more referrals and we all want to grow our current client business, but do we do all we can to make that experience with them such that they want to give us more referrals and more money?

Bill and Bryan give you six ideas that you can implement almost immediately, with little cost, that will help you rebuild or reconstruct your customer experience.

Is it a Strategy or a Tactic?

If I had a dollar for everytime that topic came up – Strategy or Tactic -I’d be a rich man.

In this episode of the 2X Podcast, Bill emphasizes the power of a good sales tactic, regardless of your strategy. He also suggests that people look down at tactics, preferring to sound high-minded by babbling on about strategy.

Nothing happens in sales until you have a tactic that is delivered properly.

Finding The Compelling Reason For Change

We so love to get to the features and benefits of what we sell, that we RARELY take the time to find out what’s really going on in the prospect’s life. But, how can you match your solution to their problem – if you don’t know their problem in the first place?

Ready for the answer? YOU CAN’T.

Is it possible that’s why the closing percentage in B2B orgs. is less than 10%? I think so. Listen in and see if you can tell where you drop the ball.

What’s The Big Idea?

The process of creating and documenting ideas is elusive, isn’t it?

Do I keep it in a journal? Do I keep it on my phone? Do I write a quick article about it to keep it fresh?

And what about the BIG IDEAS? How do you “work them out”? Do you even get them?

In this episode of The 2X Podcast, Bill addresses a BIG IDEA around your customer – and how to develop it so it’s usable.

How To Close The Sale

I say this a lot, not a big fan of the idea of “closing” a sale. But it’s the vernacular that we’re all used to. I like the idea of “decision making” instead of closing.

Recently, on a Facebook Live event, I took questions from listeners on their issues with closing sales.

We had 7 questions that were all very well stated. Here is a chance for you to hear them.
