5 Foundational Philosophies of Selling

Coaching is defined as, “releasing a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping people learn, not teaching.”

On this week’s 2X Podcast, Sales Trainer and Host Bill Caskey discusses a recent client coaching opportunity. This was a brand new client who hadn’t had much in the way of professional development coaching. His first questions to this client were:

What is your Philosophy in selling?

What are your Principles?

On this episode, Bill will give you 5 Foundational Sales Philosophies that you must adopt if you want to 2X your business.

Do You Believe What I Believe?

I find that it’s enormously helpful to understand the beliefs of the people who you take advice from. That goes for podcasters, coaches, trainers, seminar leaders and anyone that you turn to for advice.

In this episode of The 2X Podcast, Bill shares 5 of his most important beliefs about you and your potential.

Are Questions The Answer?

We were taught early in our sales career (at least I was) to ask lots of questions. But is that really the right move early in the process?

If you follow the advice of some of the big training companies, then the answer is YES. Ask lots of questions? BUT, I’m not so sure.

The impetus of this episode was a question I was asked on one of my LinkedIn Groups that had to do with a listener’s frustration with not being able to get the prospect to open up and answer them. Listen to the advice I dish out and see if you agree.

Is it Time For a Cool Change?

Probably shouldn’t make any 70’s yacht rock references (“Cool Change” by Little River Band), but this episode is all about change. And the main question is: Given what’s occurring in the world around you, do you need to change?

Bill gives 5 insights on how to look at yourself and rate where the change should happen.

Good episode if you’re in the “planning phase” for 2018.

Framework For Thinking

You know that Bill’s favorite topics center around perspectives, points-of-views, and mindsets. These topics apply to EVERYTHING we do in business or in life.

How we think determines how we act – which determines our results.

In Bill’s coaching, he is always examining what’s “beneath the surface.” He’s taken lessons from his coaching practice and, in this episode, he reviews 5 points that will help you think differently about 2X-ing your business!
